Champion!

First of all wanna congratulate Sakura for becoming the BSU Winter Games Football Champion in London on the 13th of December 2008. Wooohooo… We battled and fought hard, gave 110% every game we played, our determination, never say die attitude and most importantly teamwork played a huge factor in our team success. And not to forget, by the will of Allah, we did it guyz!!! Alhamdulillah. Yeeeaaah…

It was a week full of mixed emotions, excited for the winter games and stressful times finishing of my assignments. I stayed up all night in the library for the last day of the school term doing all my work including a 00:00hr laundry service at Eastwood *hahaha* Alhamdulillah, was so relieved after 4pm on Friday when I finally hand in my last piece of coursework. I then went straight to the Sports Training Village (STV) track and field to jog for a few rounds finishing off my 2 weeks of fitness training programme for the BSU tourney. Now…it’s holiday and time to enjoy guyzzz! yaahooo…

Went to London on Friday evening with Kim, Amal, Najib and Emma. Had a meeting with Sakura players at Amin’s room around 10.30pm discussing our tactics for the tourney. Amin was so generous for letting me stay in his room that night. Thanx Captain :D The next day was a very big day for us as a team. Woke up around 9am having almost 9hrs of sleep although we felt we would like to sleep more than that hahaha It was raining in London on Saturday. It’s good that Westway Sports Centre is located under a flyover otherwise everyone would be soaking wet by the end of the event. My motivation was so high on that day that my head kept on saying we must be champion, enjoy the tourney, don’t be nervous and do your best and that was exactly what I did. Adding to this fiery spirit was the support I had from my special one. Thnx so much Sayang for accompanying me ;)

After playing 8 grueling matches and narrowly beating Amoref 1-0 in the final, we were finally crowned as the 2008 champion. UNDEFEATED and winning all 8 games. Especially for myself, this achievement is so wonderful as this is my 1st time to receive a gold medal in any sports activities :D I still can’t believe I achieved this milestone. But this doesn’t mean that the journey is over. There are many more tourneys to participate and I will try my best to achieve the same feat if I’m given the chance InshaAllah.

Finally, wanna thank everyone who supports Sakura for the encouragement you gave us. Will appreciate that always. Thanx again :) Next up, Spain on Friday. Will try to update my blog with pictures from my holidayz in a few weeks time InshaAllah. Cheers guyz. P.S: I’m missing you Sayang, enjoy your holiday trip and have a safe journey. Will see you next week. I really can’t wait to meet up with you.

Three Weeks ;)

Salam guyz…

Can’t believe first semester is gonna be over in 2 weeks time. And in a month’s time, the year 2008 is coming to a close. *wow* How time flies so quickly nowadays. Still remember during the old days in secondary school how my free time was abundant apart from tuition *hehe* I guess even tuition sometimes can be considered as a free time, if you know what I mean *hahaha* The rest was filled with football, video games, TV etc. How things have changed but I think its a positive change especially for me. So its not that bad at all. At the moment, got 3 assignments to finish off and a maths class test on the last day of the term to prepare for.

Winter games is coming up in a few weeks time and I’m hoping its not gonna be as cold as last year. Its was freeeezzzing cold the last time around. Imagine 10 hours outdoor during winter in London *huhu* But the best thing is Sakura FT got 3rd place in the tournament *woohooo* This year is gonna different, we will be the champion, InshaAllah… :D If you guyz are poppin up for the winter games pls do support our team Sakura ;) I know for sure that someone is gonna support me *hehe* and I’m soo grateful to her for coming along J I’ll try and get a few pics of the tourney. But for now, I seriously need to work extra hard on my fitness… Cmon SAKURA!!!

Its gonna be a big weekend for those supporters of Arsenal, Chelsea and ManU. Super Sunday indeed, Man City vs ManUtd while Chelsea will take on Arsenal. Great chance for Liverpool to go top if they can beat West Ham on Monday and surely for Liverpool supporters we’re expecting no less than a win against the Hammers. Sure there will be no Torres but we have enough fire power to break West Ham defence and with Robbie Keane trying to stake his claim to get into the first team, this could be the key. It will be interesting to see whats gonna happen tomorrow. Cant wait :D

Rite guyz… I’m off now. Enjoy the weekends ayt. Safe…

Confused + Excited...

Hi guyz… First of all wanna wish everyone Eid Mubarak. Hope you guyz are having a terrific raya so far. I want to apologise to all my homeys whether you guys are in Brunei, UK, Aussie or anywhere in the world for my wrongdoings, any actions coming from me which you guyz do not like throughout our time of friendship and in the future to come.

Alhamdulillah Eid in Bath has been brilliant man with lots of gathering with the Malaysians and mostly Bruneians. Every single event I attended so far has been a pleasure and enjoyable. Thank you so much Marina, Thornbanks and the dudes at Royal Crescent. The food and hospitality was amazing guyz, well done :)

Now I’m getting used to raya in the UK (3 years on the trot) kind of building up a resistance as time passed although I still miss the annual raya gathering at my granddad’s house. It’s still fresh in my mind how raya as a kid was so great and exciting as the first thing after the eid prayer was meeting all my cousins at granddads. Everyone was very happy, smiling, new dress, takbir, foods, convoys, green packets *hehe* and the list just go on and on. How wonderful…

More than a week of raya had passed and it’s time to move on. So far studies have been excellent. It’s kind of weird that Im enjoying every moment of my third year especially during lectures. Most of the materials are pretty exciting apart from Transport Phenomena 3 which looks scary to me, loads of maths huhu Now, I’m in the library just taking a break from studying tonight, feeling confused. Don’t know why. But yeah…I’m still amazed and hope this will continue till the end of the year.

Football… oh yeah… I do not forget. *hehe* Started playing football last week with the arabs vs the English lads last Saturday. That was our first match since coming back from holidays. We got trashed dudez and we only managed to get a single goal (thru me hehe). Well, it’s forgiven since we didn’t have fitness after a month of fasting. My chest felt like it was burning during the game. We’ll get our fitness and chemistry back don’t worry and I’m very sure that we’ll return the favour to those English boyz *hahaha evil* Next game hopefully tomorrow and definitely on Saturday.

Well guyz, that’s it. Sorry that I didn’t post up any pictures from the gathering. Totally forgot to bring my camera for all the events huhu How did that happen, I don’t know hehe Till then, enjoy your studies and have fun. Peace out.

Bath Rocked

Salam guyz...

Hope you all are having a very good and productive Ramadan so far. Today is the 26th day of fasting and Raya is fast approaching *hehe* Although Raya here is very different from that in Brunei or any other muslim countries, the celebrations are none the less cheerful, fun and exciting :) Hope MelayuBath and Islamic Society are gonna organize something this year ;) For you people in Brunei enjoy the festive season dudez. I will claim my green packet when I get back hahaha

On Tuesday there was a major fire in Bath which shocked everyone. The usual peaceful city turned into chaos when an explosion occurred at the 360 million pounds SouthGate site (shopping centre and residential blocks development). I was on campus during the time of the incident getting ready to go down to the mosque in the city for iftar. The bus was late for at least 30 mins. At this point, I only heard some rumuors about the fire and thought it was not that serious until I reached the city to the horrific scene of the roads leading to the mosque and most roads close to the site was closed (including Bath Spa train and bus station) by the police. Oh how I can feel for the people who might have a flight to catch. All I can say is unlucky mate huhu

It was horrific because me and some brothers were not just late for iftar but there’s not gonna be iftar in the mosque that day *huhu* So no other choice, we all went back home. Bought 2 cheese burgers from Adel’s kebab shop and at last took my iftar 20 mins before it was Isha time :( Oh btw, brother Moustafa who’s house is just 5 mins walk from the mosque had to walked all the way round which took him half an hour to reach home hehe

Anyway back to the fire, it was reported that some gas canisters exploded during the work. Alhamdulillah there was no one injured in the incident although I heard some accounts from eye witnesses that the explosion was massive. Well, you can imagine that with gas supplies. An early fireworks for Raya probably *hehe* So most people were evacuated from buildings nearby and there was also a rescue helicopter standing by *cool hehe* I did passed by the site today and works have resumed although the affected area is still under investigation.

Well that is a bit of update from the city of Bath which usually all time is a very quite place and not much news apart from its university and Bath Rugby *hehe* and oh yea… I came across an article in the newspaper that Jamie Oliver (English celeb chef) who host the Naked Chef cook show was here today and he’s gonna open an Italian restaurant in Bath which will seat 200 people on October 6 *woohoo*

Till den, Adios… ;)

Special One is Back

Assalamualikum guyz... How are you all doing? :)

Oh yes, he’s back alright! Im referring to our beloved Special One = Jose Mourinho now at Inter Milan. This guy is a complete joker man and creates controversies like no other. His recent comment was after his team 2-1 victory over Catania. Just check this war of words between Mourinho and Catania club administrator, Pietro Lo Monaco.

Mourinho: Had I played in goal in place of (Internazionale keeper) Julio Cesar, nothing would have changed.

Lo Monaco: Someone who says something like that has no respect for his opponents, nor for the coaches or the nation that accommodate him. Mourinho is one that simply should keep his mouth shut. He could have easily avoided saying what he said and it’s very easy to answer him.

Lo Monaco carried on and said this,

Lo Monaco: Mourinho should stop being this chatterbox. Mourinho should think of his own problems, how much he and his team cost the club.

And the final blow on Mourinho *hahaha*

Lo Monaco: hope he wins (championship) because if he doesn't, he should take his beautiful suitcase and go back to his own country.

Told you… just one line from the Special One have enraged his opponents into paragraphs of words hahaha He’s not just back into management, but he’s also back in our all time favourite show, Im On Setanta Sports (IOSS) *woohoo* Check out the video guyz. All I can say is, he’s FANTASTIC. Welcome back Jose ;)

IOSS

Liked it? hahaha If your not having enough of IOSS, go to youtube and type ‘Jose Setanta’ and change the sort by option to date added. Ayt guyz... will post more on some stuffs really soon. It's time for me to watch movies now, loading completed hehe C ya..
